The Discovery Tour is a private after-hours guided tour with one of the zoo owners Christine or Mark Kilby. While on the tour you will learn all about the animals that reside at the zoo. You will also get up close and personal with some of the animal ambassadors here at the Zoo. Some interactions will be hands on with petting and cuddling. While other interactions will involve feeding. It is a fun and educational experience for all ages! The tour will run 1.5 hrs. – 2 hrs depending on how many people you have in your party. Only one group can be scheduled for the discovery tour time slot, making it a private after hours tour just for you and your family/guest!

How To Book Your Discovery Tour
Discovery Tours are by reservation only. Tours are held after the zoo has closed. Tour times available to book is 5 pm (March thru October) and 4 pm (November). Tours are not available December thru February but the zoo is still open for regular admission during the zoo hours of operation.

Before calling please have the following ready:
*The date you are requesting and an alternative in the event your first choice is unavailable.
*Total number of adults (ages 13+) and children (ages 3-12)
* We like to keep tours to 10 people or less for a booking so your whole party can enjoy the tour, if you have a larger group we can discuss options when you call. Reminder it will only be your group on the tour no one else!
Please do not arrive before your scheduled tour time as we can not start until the the scheduled time. If you arrive early you will be asked to wait in the gift shop area until the scheduled tour time. If you are wanting to purchase items in the gift shop you can do so before the tour starts or afterwards.
