We can bring the zoo to YOU! Outreach zoo programs are available year around. Luray Zoo has done many outreach programs, just to name a few: Virginia Museum Of Natural History, Schools, Daycares, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Naval Bases, private celebrations, fairs, Yogi Bear Jellystone Park and many more. We can build the program around any age group, any school curriculum to help with SOL's.

Luray Zoo has been doing educational programs since 1983! A School Day at the Zoo is a unique and fun way for students to learn. Teacher great news we help with SOL's.

So what do you do during a school day at the Zoo?  School Groups will have a chance to tour the facility, if you wish to shop in the gift shop and pick out a souvenir please inform us during scheduling or when you first arrive. All school groups have a private education show at the Animal Encounter Theater ( this done when all touring and shopping is done) . This is when students get the chance to get up close with animals, and even a hand on experience!
Teachers if you would like the show based on a certain curriculum please inform us during scheduling !
