The second part of your trip will be the birds and mammals located outside after you exit out the reptile house! 3+ acres to explore the beautiful animals of Luray Zoo!  Luray Zoo is a rescue zoo; we do not buy, sell or trade animals. The animals that come here are confiscated, unwanted/abused exotic pets, or retired zoo animals. When an animal arrives it stays for life. Every animal here has its very own special story on how they came to live here at Luray Zoo!
Luray Zoo houses a wide variety of mammals and birds of prey. Just to name a few....Striped Skunk, Bengal tiger, Andean condors, African crested porcupine and much more!
Here at Luray Zoo you will see the animals up close and personal, an experience you and your family will never forget! Also, while you are touring the zoo there will always be someone available to answer your questions, at Luray Zoo we do not hide behind the scene but instead we're out to help you the visitor have the best time possible!
