For 25 years Luray Zoo has welcomed school groups.
In 2003 the Zoo announced the new addition of the Animal Encounter
Theater. The Animal Encounter Theater is a place for each student to
receive an up-close and educational presentation.
Luray Zoo is self guided but
for school groups we offer staff assistance and your own presentation at
the theater for no additional charge.
General theater presentations are for
grades 1-12 and may last up to 40 minutes
depending on the subject matter. We can also design a program for you
and support any curriculum on animals.
For Kindergarten and
Pre-K, the zoo offers a tour through the Reptile Jungle with
hands-on experience with a reptile, staff support in the Zoo and
petting area.
Group
rates:
$1.00 off each admission for 20 or more.
