                     Luray Zoo is one of the best educators!
   Luray ZOO is very well known for their educational animal shows. Either at the zoo or traveling afar, the zoo specializes in education through entertainment. The Luray Zoo curators have a combined 60 years experience educating the public on the natural world and have even written curriculum for other zoos and their education departments.   
11:30 am KEEPER LOCK-IN! (Daily)
  The "keeper lock- in" is a presentation given by one of the Luray Zoo keepers on an animal of their choice. For 20 minutes a zookeeper will be locked in an enclosure with one of the zoo animals! and will be available to answer questions! (We hope!)   
1:00 pm Monkey snack time! (Daily)
  Watch as the Luray Zoo's family of capuchins have their afternoon snack and one of the Luray Zoo keepers talks about primate behavior and family structure.
   Don't miss as Sampson and Delilah as they crunch down! Watch as the zoo's American alligators are hand fed and the visitors are presented with some awesome gator facts!
PLEASE never hand feed alligators! It could lead to feeding hands to alligators!
Luray Zoo does not participate in alligator wrestling, WE LOVE OUR GATORS!

3:30 pm Venomous Snake Show! (Daily)
    Be prepared to sit on the edge of your seat! This show is a one-of-a-kind experience! Luray Zoo is best know for it's venomous snake show. Forget all you have learned about snakes in the past! Get the facts and learn the truth about snakes and the important role the play in our environment.  
                             Warning!
Never handle venomous snakes!  Mark and Jennifer think they are trained professionals.
 Learn about the largest of all the big cats, the tiger! Learn how to speak tiger, what the zoo feeds their tiger and the truth about big cats in the US.
   Shows begin Memorial Day and run daily through Labor Day
